In a bizarre partnership that defies usual forecasts, Ubisoft has revealed an virtual partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event runs from November 25 through December 22, providing complimentary extra story content for Shadows players.

Strange Mission Revealed

According to the formal release, "An unusual confrontation leads heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a original adventure, where hints of banned ceremonies and fearsome metamorphoses reverberate through the obscurity." The plot features a "unusually garbed woman named Ada" who assigns the pair with venturing into the Gemstone Grotto—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her companion from a secret cult.

The adventure centers on "peculiar tests and a terrifying enemy" and is open to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.

Iconic Places and Transformations

The preview showcases the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This important location was formerly where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The trailer finishes with a powerful moment showing a character, presumably the hostage, morphing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.

Exclusive Items and Additional Content

Players who accomplish the adventure will receive an special katana together with several objects secreted throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also features premium Attack on Titan item packs, offering:
